Christine Joyce L. Sumaway

Ms. Sumaway graduated from the University of Santo Tomas earning a degree in Business Economics with the distinction of Cum Laude. She was a member of the Economics department’s quizbee team. In her third year, she produced an award winning journal article: ‘A Comparative study of Economic Sectors’ Typhoon Resiliency in Barangay Bangad, Talim, Binangonan, Rizal, Philippines.’
Ms. Sumaway earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the Ateneo Law School, specializing in International Economic Law under the International Law and Development Track. During her time at the law school, she also served as the treasurer of the Ateneo Law School Choir from 2021 to 2023.
She was admitted to the Philippine bar in 2023. Currently, she is rotating in the firm’s practice areas.
Outside of her legal pursuits, she is actively involved in the Focolare Movement, an international organization dedicated to promoting unity and youth development. In her leisure time, she enjoys quality moments with her family, indulges in weightlifting, and catches some waves while surfing.
